"When I first started thinking about what motherhood meant to me, I wanted to provide some profound insight into being a mother. I now realize that is probably the least helpful thing I could have done. Motherhood-parenthood- isn’t about simply acquiring some secret knowledge when your baby is born; parenthood is about making mistakes and learning from those mistakes- just like your children.
It’s an ongoing process where you grow as a person and you help your children to do the same. So don’t waste too much time trying to pinpoint the ways in which you can be the perfect mother because it won’t happen. We all are doing our best and winging it as we go. Just continue to make memories with your children that you and them can cherish for a lifetime- read to them, play with them, talk to them and answer their questions the best that you can, wipe the tears from their cheeks and Kiss their boo-boos, keep them close and keep winging it.
Everything will be okay. Your children will grow up knowing they were loved and cherished and you will eventually be able to share your motherhood “secrets” with others."
